Grounded in counter-histories, archival intervention, and embodied research, their work engages critical debates on public health, sexuality, displacement, and the afterlives of colonialism. Their writing and films have been featured in academic journals, anthologies, and film festivals. Awadalla holds an MSc in Health History from the University of Strathclyde in Scotland.
