They are particularly involved in combining creativity with scientific approaches to better understand and support Arab queer communities in Egypt and the broader Southwest Asia and North Africa region. Their work’s objective is to study and provide aid to those psychologically affected by structural violence, stigma, and criminalization through evidence-based and trauma-informed psychiatric nursing knowledge and community-based research.
