Administrative Courts

The establishment of the administrative judiciary came in sync with the establishment of the State Council according to Law No. 112 of 1946 and headed by the Vice President of the State Council. It is divided into 19 Judicial Circuits and each Circuit has its own jurisdiction. The jurisdiction of each Circuit of the Administrative Judiciary Court is determined by a decision of the President of the State Council. It is permissible, by a decision of the President of the State Council, to establish administrative judiciary circuits in other governorates, and if the jurisdiction of the circuit includes more than one governorate, it may – by a decision of the President of the Council – hold its sessions in the capital of any of the governorates within the area of his jurisdiction.
